Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born December 13, 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for over 20 years. Swift's stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love have gained her widespread popularity throughout the 21st century. Swift began showing an enthusiasm for the industry of music as early as age. The trajectory of her career was rapid through the play of kids, through her first public appearance in front of a large crowd. As Swift performed The Star-Spangled Banner in front of Philadelphia 76ers fans at a football game aged 11. She was already making songs. Following that year she began playing guitar. Swift took inspiration from artists in country music such as Shania Twain, the Dixie Chicks and now the Chicks in order to write original music that reflected the loneliness that she felt around the age 13. As a teenager, Swift's parents sold their farm in Pennsylvania in order to relocate in Hendersonville Tennessee so she could devote more of her time interacting with country artists in nearby Nashville.
